19-42 While walking through a Hospital in N.Y. we bump in' to a nurse and looking up we see RUTH KERR. No wonder Ruth has always wanted to be a nurse with all those good look- ing internes. A We travel to the Metropolitan Opera House where we hear the music of a violin, The audience is very quiet and deeply interested. The music sounds faintly familiar, but no wonder, looking closely we see BILL HUBER, who is new known to all the world as a great musician. Now I see paper and hats and other objects fluttering thru the air and from what I can see we must be in a base- ball park, yes, it is, and they are playing the World's Series of 1952. It's the last half of the ninth inning or the last game and someone is coming up to bat, why I believe it's GLENN GRAY. Yes, and he hits a home run and saves the game for his team. He's the star of the Brooklyn Dodgers and leads them to victory. Traveling onward to New Jersey we come to a large building, and on one of the doors is written, nAdv1ce to the Lovelornn, deciding we need some advice we go in and to our surprise the president is DORIS DUKE. I guess all her experiences in High School weren't for nothing. We now journey South. Arriving in the city of Phlla- delphia, we hear that a large engagement party is to be held to-night. Going toward the brightly lighted building we see NANCY HYATT, surrounded by the members of the party She is showing her ring with pride. Her husband to be is standing by her side. As we arrive in Miami we decide to accept the invi- tation of the former VERA OASSERT, to dine in her own lux- uriously furnished home. After talking to her we know that the reason for their success is due to Vera's excellent knowledce in bookkeeping which therefore reduces the ex- pense of hiring a bookkeeper. The scene fades end another takes it's place. A scene in the middle west. It's a prosperous looking oil field. We drew near thf oil magnate's office and imaeine our sur- prise whcn we see'RAYYOND LEE DUKE,sitting behind the desk Another honor for deer old H.H.S. ' We now enter 2 building end zo up flights of steps in to an office of a successful lawyer and as we get closer we see HARRIETT THOMPSON, taking dictation. We know that you are a successful business woman. It ,..jXAELANC,F

'5 94 2 CLASS PROPHECY FOR 1942 By Mary Louise Storie Wwhat is it you wish, madam? Tell Nedra again please? Oh, I see you wish Nedra to tell you where you can find the graduating class of 1942. That she can do, just cross my palm with silver for I cannot see anything in my tele- scopic gless ball for the sir. ' m Oh-h-h, now my dear Madam, your wish will soon come true. The veil is unfolding in my glass globe, the blue moonlight like mist is slowly fading and I can see a form and face that looks like a former Hsncverien. Yes, yes, it is for I can hear a women's voice calling to her hus- band. It is ALBERT ADAMS who is a congressman and farmer of high reputstmon around these parts now. Now a bright curtain comes across my vision, Soon it is gone and I can see the newest aircraft carrier in the U.S.A. Now reross the flight deck comes s handsome dash- ing figure leading men to their stations beside their indi- vidual planes. NOW the men comes nearer to us und goes to the squadron lender plone. It is GROVER LOWE. Imagine that, the top ranking Flight Commander of the biggest Fly- ing Squadron in the U.S,A. The vision fades und I can hear faint music. New it is getting louder. Now I can see from where it comes. It is s glamorous setting, Ho1lywood's own Coconut Grove. The super orchestra is just finishing a slow dreamy love song, and who has been leading? None other than LORIS WILLIAMS. And the singer? Wait till I edge just e little closer through the throng. Three guesses who it is. No--yes-- that's right--WTLNA LOWPY. She has won fame during the nest your because she either sinss and dances like second Carmen Miranda or Jenette NecDonmld or in between, like Alice Frye or Wee Bonnie Boker. And of course part of her success is due to the splendid orchestre lender. In Beverly Hills, Cslifornic, nfirhboring Hebert Try- lor's and Barbara St:nwyck's rench lives JTAN WILSON, super ultra desipner of fishions for skfting and sport clothes. She is in demnnd ill over Hollywood to design for the poor and wealthy, alike. Trgveling across the countr7,we finally arrive nt our destination, the famous city of New York. Upon Fifth Ave- nue, the most fsshion ble pert of the city we seo smsrt well-dressed women going into on impressive looking beauty salon. Attracted by flashing lights we look up and see c sign--NLAVENIA MCCLUHE, BEAUTY STTIISTH. Seeing the ludies coming out of the shop we know that Levenia has made good. wEL.fxNeE-- ss

While talking to Marjorie we learn that Viola had spent the day shopping and wss on her way home. It seems as though she was in too big a hurry. , Speeding down the road we hear a siren. We stop and the cop rolls up beside us. And who else could it be but JOHN MATTHEWS, we just can't imagine John being a motor cop. We bet he lets all the pretty girls go without a ticket. , Passing through Greenfield, lndlana, we see our old pal, MARY LOU STCRIE,entertaining a group of ladies in her lovely new home. ,Talking to her we learn that she is mar- ried to a successful lawyer. Who ever thought it would be a lawyer. A veil floats quickly across our vision and reveals an institution of hirher learning, Indiana University, a college of high rating and is very honored to have on its faculty ETFEL NAPY HLACK, Latin teacher.
