In the last stand the Hornets and Bulldogs played on even termsh but the Bulldogs came out on the short end of the game by a score of 54-595 Warren of Henryville, was high scorer of the game with 16 points while Tull and Lowe scored 8 points each for the Bull- dogs. The Bulldogs 'nero defeated by the New Washington Mustangs 32-19 on the Bulldogs flooro This was the sec- ond time the Mustangs won over the Bulldogs this season, The Mustangs defeated the Hanover boys by a 52MSl mar- gin. The game was played in the style as most of the games between these schools are played, in a rough fashion. The Bulldogs were never in the lead only in the first few minutes of play, The Mustangs gradually increased their lead and ended up with a 52-51 victory, High point men of the game were Robinson of the Mus- tangs with 9 and Tull of the Bulldogs with 8. The last game of the season was'won by the Bull- dogs over one of their nearest rivals, the Central Wild- cats by a score of 58-25, The Bulldogs were wanting this win over the Wildcats for a one point victory the Wildcats took from the Bulldogs earlier in the sea- son. The Bulldogs took the lead and led throughout the game. Tull and LaGrange of Hanover were high scorers of the game with lO points each. Hyatt

'M' ll :LrXc Ulf' 'XILJE ............. ' was played on even terms, the Bulldoes getting 12 to the Eagles 15, LaGrange was high scorer of the game with 9 points. The Bulldogs lost to the Saluda Lions by a score of 22-17. The Bulldogs seemed to be off that night while the Lions were in full swing. Saluda was defeated in the first came of the season by the Bulldogs by a score of 22-19. High scorers of the game were Tull of Hanover with B points and Lawson of Seluda with 15. The Hanover Bulldogs were defeated on their' nwdf floor by Rising Sun who had a very good team. The Bull dogs led up to the last few minutes of play when Rising won by a score of 54-50. The follows: 4-5, Hanoverg ' 18-ll, 54-30, Rising Sun. High point with 18 points, R. Thomas of 12 points, Sun pulled out ahead and score by quarters was as Banoverg 24-22, Henoverg man of the game was Tull Rising Sun followed with The Bulldogs made it two straight over the North Madison Tigers this year by defeating them 52-18. The Bulldogs took the lead and were never behind during the game. The score wus tied once or twice during the first alf but the Bulldogs were never in great danger, Han- over led 5-l at the end of the first quarter and ll-15 at half time. In the third quarter Hanover clipped the nets for 12 points while holding the Tigers to 4 points The quarter ended 15-25 in favor of Hanover. In the. last quarter the Bulldocs played somewhat of a stall game to hold their lead. The game ended 18-52, Hanover. LaGrange and Tull were high scorers of the g me, scor- ing 9 and 14 points respeetivelya Heitz was high for .the Tiger! with 7. The Hanover Bulldogs went to Deputy to meet the Panthers in a rough and tumble game in which the Pan- thers won by a score of 24-25 after trailing all the way through the game. Both teams were very evenly matched which made it a very good gamr. The Bulldogs fought desperately to overcome the Panthers, but were unable to do so. The scores at the end of quarters 5 were as follows: 5-1, Henoverg ll-7, Hnnoverg 19-17 Han- ?g8gfnEgdo?4Hggev2rpwith Elg2ndCg5ieSrOgftBgpgt?e with The Bulldogs again lost a close game which was hard for them to lose. The Bulldogs wen over the Henry- ville Hornets when they played at Hanover by a score of 20-Bl, Henryville get the jump on the Bulldogs and lead the entire game. The score at half time was 20-12 Henryville. However, after the second half started the Bulldogs fought hard to pull ahead and were able to 9 I :I s J .94 1,1

- Y ---w lXlXELfXlz.:HT THE BULLDOGS WIN COUNTY TOURNEY For the second time in the history of Hanover High School the Bulldogs won the County Tournament. The Bulldogs started the tournament by defeating the Saluda Lions in a very close and exciting game by the score of 25-18. The Lions had defeated the Bulldogs the week be fore and the Bulldogs got revenge for the licking. Tull Uebel, and LaGrange were high point men in this game with 6, 6, and 5 points to their credit respectively. The Bulldogs drew the bye which required them to play only two games to win the tournament. In the last game the Bulldogs defeated the Deputy Panthers in a very close game 21-18. The Panthers had eliminated the Central Wildcats and the North Madison Tigers to win the right to play the Bulldogs in the final game. The Bulldogs were behind at the end of the first quarter 5- 1, but led at half time, 8-7. The Bulldogs turned on the heat in the third quarter and piled up a score which enabled them to lead at the end of the third quar ter, 15-9. The Panthers came up on the Bulldogs in the last quarter but just cou1dn't catch the fast stepping Bulldogs and Hanover won her second County Tournament. Two of the Bulldogs were placed on the All County Team: Kenneth Tull for the third straight year, and Bill Huber, his first year. The total points scored by each player during the Tournament are as follows: Tull 15, Uebel ll, LaGrange 5, Lowe 0, V012 7, and Huber 8. Winning this tournament was quite an honor for each player, as well as the many Hanover basketball fans. SEGTIONAL TQURNEY The Bulldogs drew that Lexington Minute-Men and were defeated 55-15. The Bulldogs took the lead, but Lexington soon scored goals to tie the score. In the second quarter Lexington took the lead and remained in front as the half ended. In the third period Lexington widened their margin and from then on it wwe no doubt that they would be the winners.
