Those who left us were: Eugene Desn,Nnry Evelyn Wheete who moved to Snludng end Lenore Thorne, who moved to Crothersville, Indians. Our newcomers were: Don Vewillinms from Norton Jr. Hiqh School et Hammond, Indlsne, and Charles Ayres of Arsenal Tech, School at Indienepolis, Indiana, Nerjorie Thorton, from Nedison, IHd1RD',' end Etta Gerson, from New Milford Jr. Hieh rt New Vilford, New Jersey. The officers of our class .were ms follows: Presi- dent--Kenneth Volzg Vice President--Jane Pnrkerg and Secretory end Treasurer, Eurene Cndv. THE EIGHTH GRADE At the beginnlnv of the school 'year 1940-41, the eighth grade with twenty-two members, organized end Gi lected the following officers for the year: President, Wnneta Brutherg Vice President, Marjorie Brutherg Secre- tdry and Treasurer, Frank Guthrie. . For this year the eighth gnaders had Mr. Weir as their sponsor, who took an active part in the eats as well es the games, and added grtdtly to the jollity. The eighth graders fill their place in the life of the school very effectively. All of them, boys and girls alike, were in the Junior Chorus. Gene Copness, who plays the violin, is in the Junior Orchestre, and Her? Lou Bovard, who plays the sexephone,e1so plays in the Junior Orchestra. Some of the girls and boys belong to the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Six of the boys went out for hfsketbell this veer end, from all apnesrances, were utle to hold a position on the Junior High Teen,. Robert Adams, Donald Gessert, Junior Brooks, Gene Coppess, Blanton Bell and Frank' Guthrie will be some of our future players. These boys, united with the rest of the Junior High Team, won quite n number of their games. They played in the County lTournoy this year, Cthc first of its kindl.
