CONSTITUTION of the HANOVER JUNIOR-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION PREAMBLE - In order to advance the interests of democracy through partici- pation in the affairs of school government, we, teachers and pupils, do hereby form The Hanover Junior-Senior High School Government Association. Article I. Name and Purpose Section 1. Name The name ofthe organization shall be THE HANOVER JUNIOR-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GOVERNMENT AS- SOCIATION. Section 2. Purpose The principal purpose of the organization shall be to develop a growing appreciation of membership in a de- mocracy by providing for the educative responsibilities of, and the privilege of participating in such a democracy in school by a. Fostering sentiments of law and order. b. Developing an appreciation of property rights and the care of public and private property. c. Promoting in allways the best interests of the school. d. Gxsen wore a black velvet halter blouse and white net skirt. During the intermission, refresh- ments were served in the cafeteria, which was decorated with multi- colored streamers and balloons, David Pierce Studios took pictures of those couples who wished them. The auditorium was decorated u ith a large top hat, a pair of white gloves. and a cane in one corner, and the throne, uhich rested on a Three large balloons with black light shining on them. Music was prmide-d by the Black Panthers of Middlebury, who played many special numbers and requests, The Junior Class wishes to thank all those who helped make the dance a success. including the chap- erones.
