CONSTITUTION of the HANOVER JUNIOR-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION PREAMBLE - In order to advance the interests of democracy through partici- pation in the affairs of school government, we, teachers and pupils, do hereby form The Hanover Junior-Senior High School Government Association. Article I. Name and Purpose Section 1. Name The name ofthe organization shall be THE HANOVER JUNIOR-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GOVERNMENT AS- SOCIATION. Section 2. Purpose The principal purpose of the organization shall be to develop a growing appreciation of membership in a de- mocracy by providing for the educative responsibilities of, and the privilege of participating in such a democracy in school by a. Fostering sentiments of law and order. b. Developing an appreciation of property rights and the care of public and private property. c. Promoting in allways the best interests of the school. d. Assisting in the unification of all school activ- ities. e. Promoting the general activities of the school. f. Aiding in the internal administration of the school. - Standing: John Lewis.
