Gwen was chosen by the 'Black Panthers orches- tra from a long line of junior candidates to rule on her throne of pmk and whrte carnauons in a night club atmosphere A garnt sized top hat cane and whrte gloves stood in one corner of the auditouum while minia ture tinsel hats and cocktarl glasses and gaint bal loons reflected the revolvlng multi colored ltghts 6 . Saint Valentine inspired the decorators and the gymnasium walls were adorned with red hearts and white class numerals, while in the center'of the floor stood a silver giant-sized valentine. Midway through the evening the boys of the sophomore class chose Garde Davison '53, es- corted by Chip Wright, to reign as 'Queen of Hearts . gfsfy. .xv 45.3 WINTER WONDERLAND With hundreds of snowflakes falling to the ground all about her, Muriel Chouinard ascended her glittering throne of snow to reign over the 1955 Senior Ball.
