But he is wrong, for the first pitch goes easily out into right field for a single. Yes, it happens every spring. The baseball team comes trudging out through the muddy field to start in on another season of hits, runs, and errors. And although this year there was a plentiful lack of the first two and an abundance of the third, it helped to give the scorers something to do. But don't think that a team has to win all of its games to have fun. Far from it. The memory of Sully's no-hitters against Clark will live long. Those spectacular double plays and the exciting home runs always help to liven up the spirits of the team. And it must be remembered that winning isn't every- thingg it sure feels good to get a hit, even if you are trailing by a few points. ir,
