Three Art Club members competed in the Northwest Indiana Art Center show, taking two seconds and a third. “Operation Snowball” sent 10 delegates to a regional workshop and helped develop similar groups in Indianapolis. They reached across state lines into Michigan and Illinois to “snowball” the program even further. Extending beyond the Midwest, the Thespians captured the spirit of the Southwest in “Oklahoma! Missionaries on tour from six countries were hosted by Honor Society members for a day of international cultural exchange. Students found themselves Back On The Map, one which expanded their borders daily. “Taking art helps me relax J and use my imagination to the best of my ability,” said Maiko Nezo, ' foreign exchange student from Japan. Maiko placed third in the ' l Northwest Indiana Art Association ' Spring competition at the Munster A Northwest Indiana Art Center.
