In Dedication to Mr. Driscoll Death Of A School Teacher No floral cortege followed to his grave, The whistling wind whispered the litany; He went his lonely way from memory; A “pause of silence” none in honor gave; But if you closer peered, then wave on wave, Host of disciples paced invisibly, The city streets; unto eternity His heart their lifelong pilgrim road would pave; He’d ever have it so, for he had taught A man was measured for what cause he fought; He gave them strength to press to higher goal, Transcending grief and anguish of the soul; He sought to mold each child a stalwart oak— In freedom’s cause that neither bent nor broke. Mr. Maurice Driscoll who passed away October 8, 1972 was a sponsor of the Jr. High Science Club and was science teacher for the Jr. High, also. On behalf of Mr. Driscoll’s family, Mrs. Geek presents the school with the flag that covered Mr. Driscoll’s casket. The flag is ac- cepted by principal, Mr. Davis. 28

TEACHERS GIVE KNOWLEDGE As Hanover Central changed, so did many teachers. New classes opened and new fields of study wer e presented to students.
