WH T I YOUR GREA TEST AD VE TURE7 Author Jules Baas has Greatest Adventure is tomorrow are yet to be greatest adventure was stated in a ballad that the what lies ahead, today and said. When asked what the students at HLG gave a wide 'variety of answers yet some responses contained si- Tiilarities. Many students related the fact that they felt the greatest adventure in their life was high school gradu- ation, leaving home and finding independence. Paul Boateng said his greatest adventure was being hijacked and held in a plane for 27 hours, Student body president, Ted Davis stated, The greatest adventure is not the attainment of set goals, but rather the realization of your own self worth, and the realization that you have the ability to attain those goals. While Ronda Davis, a junior, said, The greatest adventure is life itself. And Jesus said in John 10:10, I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly. Most students spoke of the -greatest adventure as spiritual committment or attainment. Joel Russell re- marked, Astar as l'm concerned the greatest adven- ture for anyone is knowing God's will in their life, because that is truly what it is.. God's will to me is a Tiystery, and l think that it is just an adventure to find truly what that will is for my life, for the future. Whether it is to be a pastor or whatever God wants me to beg it is a mystery an adventure to find out. A few students suggested the rapture and seeing heav- en as the greatest adventure. Scott Butler believes death would be the greatest adventure. The greatest adventure is a different experience in everyone's life. One thought is that everything is an adventure. Today's great adventure may be topped by tomorrow's. Another realization is that the great- test adventure is living each day to it's fullest in every possible way: always preparing yourself for what lies ahead so that no opportunity will pass you by. The days we have spent at HLG are days that can never be relived. These college years may be the greatest adventure in some students' lives, to others this time may be the preparation for their greatest adventure. And whatever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. Colossians 3:17.

I THE B GINNINC-7 Hannibal-LaGrange College acquired its name from its first location at LaGrange, Missouri. The LaGrange College was founded in 1898 by the Wyaconda Baptist Association, which was at that time composed of baptist churches in the four counties of the northeast corner of the state. The first story of the building was completed in the summer of 1858. ln the fall of that year the first school term began, but the strife between the North and South at that time halted the work of the college temporarily. During the following year, federal troops took possession of LaGrange and the college became army headquarters. ln the fall of 1866, the college resumed its work, and sometime later the second story of the building was completed. In 1918 Brown Hall, a dormitory for girls was built. In 1921, Will' H M li ' ,itil W 4 ig l x i l
