N Lf.. .. The Art department was led by Miss Mary Wiehe, and part-time by Mr. John Freiling. The objectives of this course were to help the student realize that art is to be more than just looked at. It is hoped that each student will sharpen his skills, and learn to appreciate art as never before. 3 Natural Science is taught to show how it is related to everyday living and to build an appreciation for people who devote their time to its study. Leading these courses were: Miss Marion Williams, Math: Mr. Joel Dunlap, Chemistry: Dr. Richard Todd, Physics, and Miss Kathy Nelson, Biology. To build better skills, physical fitness and knowledge of selected sports and to help a person to appreciate the performance and sportsmanship of others. These were the main goals that Coach Don Buffington and Mrs. Betty Rhoads wanted to teach. And they taught these goals by leading in sports such as volleyball, basketball, tennis and others.
