DIVISIONS OF LANGUAGE AR Language Arts courses are taught to give each student a better understanding of oral and written communication. To achieve these goals Mr. Milo Duer taught English Comp. and American Lit., and Mr. Ken McNutt taught English Comp. and English Lit.. Mrs. Connie Brouwn and Mrs. Katherine Burt taught English part- time, and Miss Kathy White taught speech. The yearbook advisor was Mrs. Debbie Scott, and Mrs. Betty Rhoads advised the Hala- gra staff. The Music department was responsible for many of the programs on campus. The full time music staff consist of Dr. Floyd McCoy, Mrs. Nadeen McCoy, Miss Alyce McMeen and Miss Carol Jo Lane, and Miss Patricia Rippeto taught part-time. Music courses aides those who were majoring in music to advance their skills, and for others, it helped to build their knowledge and appreciation of music. Business courses were taught full-time by Mrs. Debbie Smith, Mrs. Faye Pope, and part-time by Mr. Jerry Allen. Major objec- tives of Business Education courses are to give the student basic knowledge vital to success in the business world and to prepare the student for advanced study.
