This quotation from the Hobbit expressed the mood of the 1979 Sports Banquet. Good food, good times and good friends abounded. Mark Arneson of the football Cardinals CAbove Lefty gave his personal testimony on why he put Christ above his sports career. The fi- nal fling before bidding each other Farewell, A cookout appeared to be the best way to say goodbye, There was lots of food, good friends, fun and entertainment. While some played games, other discussed their futures either at their churches or with their families, or maybe even at Seminary. Can too many cooks spoil the soup? Could be, but such was not the case this day.
