BOUYEA A H.LG.'S FIR T MR. 5 MI 5 l , ' yur' p ill The first Mr. and Miss HLG Pageant was held Thursday, April 19, 1979. Mark Smith and Marcia Bouyea were selected from a field of 30 contestants. Each contestant was represented by an orga- nization on campus. The top nine men and women were then selected. From these nine the five semi-finalist were chosen. They were: Marcia Bouyea and Mark Smith, Jeanne Elland and Phil Elseman, Annette Melvin and Tim Calicott, Linda Strange and Roger Vester, Rhonda Haskins and Chuck Baughman. The audi- ence was entertained by the emcee, David Baker, a gospel singer. Judges for the event were Mrs.'Wanda Mitchell, Mr. Dick McHar- gue and Mrs. Barbara Stewart. k I
