Reaching For The top Once again the softball team proved successful by reaching the conference tournaments. The 1986 team practiced hard in the months before the season began. We had a lot of rainy practice days before the season started, so we had to use the old gym a lot. The team concentrated on their skills and knowledge of the game to make the season a success. They finished with 14 wins and 10 losses. On The Run The 1986 Girls Track team ended their year with a conference record of 7 wins and 0 losses and an overall record of 11 and 5. In the Anderson County Relay they finished second. Nine girls went to the State meet, they were Tunisha Anderson, Lynette 1 Cliett, Terri Rhoden, Sharon McCord, Tracie Cox, Christi Killen, Christie Leverette, Brenda Veach, and Katie Byrd. The team representatives placed sixth overall. At the end of the season awards were given to the individuals who were outstanding in their events.
