The team concentrated on their skills and knowledge of the game to make the season a success. They finished with 14 wins and 10 losses. .K El' ,, 1AL Amy Dobbins: Third Row - Dina Padgett, Cheryl Ashley, Jill Keown, Carter Newman I -rf ,l Girl s Tennis Team The Cnrl s Team along with their new coach Marlon Earwood had an outstanding year Team members Jill Keovim Dina Padgett Cheryl Ashley Heather Ashley Lon Dillard Tonja McClinton, Jennifer Bums, Amy Dobbins, Dana Trimble, Martha Daniel, Carter Newman, and Beth Rodgers went to the State Tennis Champi- onships in Columbia, where they took second place. In spite of their youth, five girls made All- Conference. They were Jill Keomm, Dina Padgett, Cheryl Ashley, Heather Ashley, and Lori Dillard. The number one doubles team, Heather Ashley and Lori Dillard, also made All-State. Girl's Tennis: Front Row - Heather Ashley, Lori Dillard: Second Row - Martha Daniels, Tonja McClinton, Jennifer Burris, Dana Trimble o 1 o Junior Jill Keown holds the number one spot op the team. Here she shows her skill by serving an ace to her opponent.

Reaching For The top Once again the softball team proved successful by reaching the conference tournaments. The 1986 team practiced hard in the months before the season began. We had a lot of rainy practice days before the season started, so we had to use the old gym a lot.
