Hanna's Hggdgwn A. .. ............., Homecoming The theme for the Homecoming football game, Hanna's Hoedovm Homecoming, allowed homerooms to come up with original ideas for floats, decorations, and halftime festivities. The varsity cheerleaders rushed out to the stadium to put the finish- ing touches on projects they had constantly been working on for the past month. Along with the floats, figures of the team were made by the Varsity cheerleaders to suit the theme. The Junior Varsity cheer- leaders also participated in making signs and cheering at the game. One of the main attractions of Homecoming was the announce- ment of the queen. For a month the 201 Student Life five finalists anxiously awaited the announcement of who would be the 1986 queen. Finally, their big moment arrived. At the half, queen nominees, spon- sors, and escorts were announced to the spectators. The 1985 queen, Katherine Palmer, along with Prin- cipal Michael Sams, crowned Sherri Freeman as Hanna's 1986 Homecoming Queen. As well as the excitement with all the decorations and school spirit, the team also played a spectacular game. Hanna finished off the night perfectly with a win over the West- oak Warriors. Every student left with smiles on their faces and pride in their hearts. Cochran, sponsor for Chns Powell.. is es corted by Jeff Harmon.
