There are two words that will bring a smile to every face at T.L. Hanna. These two words are pep rally. Pep rallies offered a much needed break from academics and allowed L each student a chance to show his or ' her school spirit. During the year, the students gave much support to the athletic teams by showing their enthusiasm. This year the administration urged the students to pull together as an entire school, rather than to compete as individual classes. This effort resulted in a unified student body, which generated much more school spirit than in previous years. Whether the theme was Fifties, Beach, or Clovims, the pep rallies were always full of fun and excitement for everyone. During the 1986-87 school year pep rallies proved to be a very important part of the students' activities. Student Life!15

Me 'N My R.C. lt always happens! Never fails! As each 9-week period comes to a close, students get very tense. Why? Well, maybe their favorite teachers wouldn't give them that one extra point to pull an A in their classes, or perhaps that 69 on the trig test that they pushed to the back of their minds two weeks ago, is slowly edging its way back into memory. Report Card Time during 1986-87 was especially tense because of a new grading scale. The new system did not allow as great a point spread as in the past years. Stu- dents who formerly found them- selves at various places during the week, now found themselves at home studying more than ever! 01d Scale 90-100 80-90 70-80 60-70 59-0 New Scale 95-100 85-92 77-84 70-76 69-0 W .W 16! Student Life Exhausted aiier a Geometry test, Charlie King rests up for his next class. 5 Clayton Kopp, Jennifer Parsons, and Chuck Anderson diligently take notes while learn- ing the techniques of Pre-Calculus. Johnny Fowlerloads up his books for a long night of studying.
