i Go V6I'HO1 S Amy Hickman, Jennifer Hoffman, Russell Webb, Julie Shaw, and Amy Galloway attended the Governor's School for the Arts. School Governor's School of the Arts was held at Furman University from June 22 to July 26. There were five categories: music, dance, drama, visual arts, and creative writing. Jennifer Hoffman and Julie Shaw attended dance classes and Amy Hickman was involved with the cre- ative writing classes. Russel Webb and Amy Galloway participated in the music program. Aside from the arts, two students were involved in the Govemor's School of Academics. Michelle Beaty and Katie Hemdon attended the College of Charleston from June 22 to July 4. They studied a variety of topics: however, their fa- vorite was global issues. , all Michelle Beaty and Katie Herndon attended the Governor's School for Academics. h Altheia Lesley, Angie Pender, and Kathryn Greene attend- ed Business Week during the summer of 1986.
