The upper state championship game was a fast, hard-hitting contest. Whitfield had his worst game of the season percentage-vvise, completing only seven of tvventy-six passes. Eau Claire remained undefeated, but was to lose this distinction the next week against Lower Richland in Columbia. Hanna finished the season 10-2 and vvas indeed the best since '58. T.
