On our trip eastward we were cruising along on the Pennsylvania turnpike at a speed of 150 miles an hour (jet age) in the wrong lane. All at once we heard the shrieking sound of a siren and a cop pulled up beside u and motioned us to stop. As he was making out our ticket we noticed the name on his badge was familiar. The name was Dean Bealor. We asked if he knew Alida Saylor and he said Definitely ! She’s my wife! All at once we began talking about our acquaintances and before we knew it, he had tom up our ticket and chaperoned us all the way to his home to meet one of our closest friends. Alida. When we arrived she was so excited, that she accidently stepped on one of her little boys' trucks, and that kept her busy trying to answer such questions as Mommy! Why did you step on my truck? After everything had been settled, we had coffee and talked constantly about our school days together and before we knew it, i% was time to go. We said so long to everyone and thanked them for a nice time. We promised to keep in touch by corresponding. We left their pleasant home and started to travel the roads again. We finally arrived at our destination, N c w Y o r k! Wc had six hours left before boarding the plane and so decided to get some rest and then do some shopping. It was 2 P.M. when we started paging all the stores and then it happened! We walked into a swanky dress shop and the.e, showing some of her famous designs to a promising buyer, was Betty Louderback. We couldn't visit very much because she was busy and we had a schedule to meet. We went back to our hotel, got our luggage and headed for La Guardia Field. We went into the office and received our passenger list. With this in hand we boarded our plane to see whether everything was satisfactory. We went to the cockpit to find out when takeoff would be and. behold, who should be behind the wheel, but Pat Kauchak. Right then and there wc knew that the rest of our trip would be great because we had met most of our classmates. If this should really ever happen, we know it will be even a greater thrill.
