History In the year of 1952, on September 6, fourteen frightened fresh- men enrolled in high school. They were: Bill Lile, Fred Richey. Larry Keehn, Bill Salisbury, James Perz, Pat Kauchak, David Jones, Marilyn Pranckus, Alida Saylor, Shirley Aim, Carol Shei, Lou Ann Rosenbaum, Betty Louderback, and June Pozil. Our sponsor was Mrs. Hayden. Don Hunter entered our class during our freshmen year. We wondered how hard those mighty Seniors would be on us at initiation. However, the Seniors were fairly easy on us, and we went around school for two days looking mighty foolish. The Seniors gave us a party in the evening of the second day of our initiation. They really gave us a workout then, but the evening ended with dancing and refreshments. The year was slipping by, and to earn money, we sold candy at the basketball games. The school year was over, the summer had passed, and here wc were Sophomores. There were only thirteen of us, for Fred Richey and Bill Salisbury dropped out. Fred Richey went to Wanatah School and Bill Salisbury joined the Marines. We really were glad to see Mrs. Hayden back as our sponsor. Wc sold ice cream bars at the basketball games and had a roller skating party to help earn some money for our class. To end school activities for our Sophomore year, we helped serve at the Junior-Senior Prom. The third year of high school was already here, June Pozil was married soon after school began. Larry Keehn dropped out leaving our class with only eleven. We had a new sponsor, Mrs. Mynatt, this year. During this year we had a Jr.-Sr. play (called Take Your Medicine ) to help earn money for our Jr. -Sr. trip. We also had several dances, the concessions at ball games, and sold magazine subscriptions. For our Jr.-Sr. trip, we took a journey down through the Southern states to New Orleans, and across Texas to Old Mexico where we spent a day. Then we went back to Texas where we spent four days on the Mayan Dude Ranch. After that, we headed home, taking a bus all the way. It was a thirteen day trip with a lot of fun. We had a very wonderful school year, but only eleven were left in our class. Our Senior year began. We had a new sponsor, Mr. Robb, our principal. June Pozil Drader and Larry Keehn joined us again, but Larry decided not to stay. We sold concessions at the basketball games to earn money for our graduation. During the year, four Seniors went on a trip to Washington, D. C. We looked forward to our graduation day. We wish to thank our parents, teachers, and everyone who helped us through school. Wc had a lot of fun along with a lot of hard work, and hope our future will be as bright as the past has been. 15

Prophecy It's the year of 1966, just ten years since we graduated from Hanna High School. So much had happened during these last 10 years as we found out this summer. Wc had been transferred from the United States flight to a T.W.A. flight from New York to Cairo, Egypt. Since we landed in California, we decided to take a little land travel and go by car to New York and see if we could find some of our classmates on the way. We knew Dave Jones was branch manager of Schaeffer's Super Market in San Francisco, but we didn't find him at his office. Wc didn't have too much travel time so we thought we should get started on our long trip. We had only gotten into the suburbs, when we saw a Model A Ford sitting along the road. We stopped to sec what the trouble was and we asked if we could help. When the fellow turned around, we saw that it was Don Hunter. He explained that he was taking his antique out for a little exercise which it didn't seem to need. Since his home was only a few miles away, we took him there. On the way, we found that Jim Perr. was a salesman for a big Hot Rod Company in Tuscon, Arizona. When we got to Don's home, he asked us to meet his wife but she was out shopping and we didn't have the time to spare, so we wished him the best of luck and were on our way to find Jim. We had no trouble finding Jim in Tuscon. He told us this was just the work for him. He offered to give us a ride in his newest Hot Rod. Since we didn't know better, we said, O. K. . We hadn't been so scared in a long time! Even our new Ford wouldn't go that fast. When we got over the shock, we asked about Carol Shei. Of course, it's Salisbury now. Jim said that she and Fritzie were living in Denver. Colorado. Jim had been thro gh there on a business trip recently and told us the address. Once again wc were on our way. When we got to their home, we found Carol was very busy with her 12 children. Her one little boy had the mumps and all 11 of her girls were very active in the back yard making mud pies. We figured she had no time to talk to us, so we asked if she knew where Shirley Aim was. When we were in high school, she hoped to be a secretary. Carol said she had suc- cessfully obtained a job with the Dupont Plant in Kansas City, so it was hit the road again . The Dupont Plant covers several acres in Kansas City, so finding the office Shirley worked in was a problem. We finally found it on the sixth floor. Shirley was certainly surprised to see us. Wc told her of all the old gang we had visited. She was glad to hear about them. She was very happy with her work there and hoped to continue. We then went on our way to good old Indiana. We arrived at our home town, Hanna, where we spent some time visiting a few of our classmates who still lived here. We located June Ann Drader and her husband living on a 250 acre farm raising feeder cattle. When we arrived there, she was busy with her 6 children, besides helping her husband with the daily farm work. She informed us that Bill L,ile, another class- mate, was the president of a big corporation in the city of Toto. We realized wc only had a couple of days left to get to New York for our flight with T. W. A. and to do a little shopping before we left. We bade June Ann and her husband Farewell. 16
