History In the year of 1952, on September 6, fourteen frightened fresh- men enrolled in high school. They were: Bill Lile, Fred Richey. Larry Keehn, Bill Salisbury, James Perz, Pat Kauchak, David Jones, Marilyn Pranckus, Alida Saylor, Shirley Aim, Carol Shei, Lou Ann Rosenbaum, Betty Louderback, and June Pozil. Our sponsor was Mrs. Hayden. Don Hunter entered our class during our freshmen year. We wondered how hard those mighty Seniors would be on us at initiation. However, the Seniors were fairly easy on us, and we went around school for two days looking mighty foolish. The Seniors gave us a party in the evening of the second day of our initiation. They really gave us a workout then, but the evening ended with dancing and refreshments. The year was slipping by, and to earn money, we sold candy at the basketball games. The school year was over, the summer had passed, and here wc were Sophomores. There were only thirteen of us, for Fred Richey and Bill Salisbury dropped out. Fred Richey went to Wanatah School and Bill Salisbury joined the Marines. We really were glad to see Mrs. Hayden back as our sponsor. Wc sold ice cream bars at the basketball games and had a roller skating party to help earn some money for our class. To end school activities for our Sophomore year, we helped serve at the Junior-Senior Prom. The third year of high school was already here, June Pozil was married soon after school began. Larry Keehn dropped out leaving our class with only eleven. We had a new sponsor, Mrs. Mynatt, this year. During this year we had a Jr.-Sr. play (called Take Your Medicine ) to help earn money for our Jr. -Sr. trip. We also had several dances, the concessions at ball games, and sold magazine subscriptions. For our Jr.-Sr. trip, we took a journey down through the Southern states to New Orleans, and across Texas to Old Mexico where we spent a day. Then we went back to Texas where we spent four days on the Mayan Dude Ranch. After that, we headed home, taking a bus all the way. It was a thirteen day trip with a lot of fun. We had a very wonderful school year, but only eleven were left in our class. Our Senior year began. We had a new sponsor, Mr. Robb, our principal. June Pozil Drader and Larry Keehn joined us again, but Larry decided not to stay. We sold concessions at the basketball games to earn money for our graduation. During the year, four Seniors went on a trip to Washington, D. C. We looked forward to our graduation day. We wish to thank our parents, teachers, and everyone who helped us through school. Wc had a lot of fun along with a lot of hard work, and hope our future will be as bright as the past has been. 15
