RA TION The power of the inter-continental ballistic mis- sile is of great concern to the entire world. Power not only astonishes but frightens us, because we know its ability either to destroy or to build. Alone it is brutal, competitive, destructive and meaningless, when combined with understanding and wisdom, it shows power hgw to be cooperative, constructive, and meaningful. More than ever before we realize the importance of a high school education, since it is the foundation for all future education whether it be academic or skilled labor. It not only increases the earning power of the individual, but it gives him strength and pow- wer for living in a satellite age. Walter Reuther, President of United Auto Workers, in a radio broadcast said, Power is measured by the development of the human mind. Finally, in order to possess power which is supe- rior to our environment, we as individuals, must have a philosophy of life which is in narmony with the Great Ruler. Congratulations and best wishes to the sponsor and the staff for this very fine yearbook. Inga Bleskestad, Principal What are you doing to make the Hanna Public' School one of the best schools in the State of Wyo- ming? This question can be asked of every pupil, parent, and person in the community. We point with pride to the fine educational system that our small community can offer its pupils. ls every one of us doing his part? lt is not difficult, on frequ'ent visits to school,,to determine the pupils who are contributing the most to the welfare of themselves and the school and, in return, reaping the greatest benefits. A pupil can get no more out of education than what he puts in. Whether the school is large or small, there is always more given than can be received. Every parent should encourage his child to put forth great effort to obtain the best possible education that can be offered to him. when individuals are completely satisfied with their progress, growth stops. Let 's not let this happen in the Hanna Public School. I would like to congratulate the Miner Staff for this fine yearbook. It serves as an example of the extra work contributed by the Miner Staff, Mrs. Nel- son, and Mr. Clark to preserve these memories for you.
