After five years as a dedicated Knight, he has earned the respect of everyone at Hanks. To demonstrate the respect we have for him and everything he stands for, we dedicate, the 1985-86 Shield. When he isn't in his office 4 Dedication doing his share of work to keep Hanks running smoothly, Mr. Shaw can be found socializing with teachers and students. Mr. Shaw is really in touch with the student body, stated Irma Estrada, French teacher. He relates to them very well. He respects them and they respect him, she added. Mr. Shaw is liked by the student body for many reasons, but mainly for his personality and trust in the students. He understands them and their problems. He likes kids, I think they sense it and they like him for it, declared Ronnie Parks, school counselor. We are fortunate to have a man like Mr. Shaw administrating our school. A school that, in Mr. Shaw's words, . . . is the best school around!
