bri n s spirit Spirit was a very important part of school life. Espirit de Corps brought out the spirit in each individual. lt was a club full of enthusiastic students, who supported school activities. The club was on hand to cheer on events that needed their sup- port. Club officers were Tanya Freund, pres., Shaira Roberts, vice pres., Scott Sutherland, tres., Jim Gant, sec., Deana Hulce, parI.g and Paul Rocha was club artist. Being chosen club-of-the- year three-years-in-a-row en- hanced membership to 140 this year. I enjoy being able to show my school spirit and pride along with others, while at the same time, supporting people and events, said Gant. Espirit de Corps did a lot of volunteer work throughout the year. During Christmas, they helped feed and clothe needy families in the area. Each mem- ber took either a piece of cloth- ing or a toy to give to the fam- ilies. During Homecoming they were also active. Among their events was a tailgate party for the football players and their parents. Club sponsor Penny Wis- combe believed that a school needed a club like this to sup- port various school activities. 82 Espirit de Corps Scott Sutherland expresses school spirit
