Zinter, Moore earn honored title if mml' 3 AA-AA 1 Being awarded the prestigious Duke and Duchess award IS an honor envied by all seniors These awards are given by the yearbook staff to the most outstanding boy and girl from the graduating class Teachers nominated students on the ba sis of leadership qualities extra currlcu lar participation responsiblity leader shlp and academic achievements The selection was then narrowed down to two students This year s Duke IS Alan Zinter an out standing athlete who gained his skills through sports He lettered In basketball and baseball Having been on the varsity baseball team since his freshman year Zinter has received many baseball awards. He also has been an active member of the National Honor Society. Tina Marie Moore the year s Duchess also was an active participant in extra-cur- ricular activities. She served as treasurer for the Silhouettes organization N.H.S. vice president German club secretary and home economics president. Not only have her leadership abilities proved her worthy of this honor but Moore s beauty poise, and personality have gained her even more repute when she earned the first runner-up position in the 1984-85 beauty pageant. There were all 'mP0f'f3n'f for SCWO' SDWIT types of Clubs and groups an did their part to find for students to join the missing pieces of the depending on their different PUZ-Zie and Put them back interests. tvgether again Along with sports, organizations were very important to those students who wanted to participate in school activities. For those interested in music there was band, orchestra and choirg for those interested in office management there was FBLA and VOCCTQ Anyone who was interested in a future in the army could join ROTCg and for those students who just wanted to show their spirit and have fun there was Esprit de Corps. All the clubs and organizations welcomed anyone who wanted to join. Although some had requirements for members to fulfill, there was something for everyone. Teachers who gave up their time to sponsor a group of students and organize them into a club were indispensable to the school since without them many school activities would not be possible.
