lt would be untimely to complete the puzzle at this point because only another year has been completed. There are many more school years ahead and each year a piece or two will be added to the puzzle. Each piece represents an accomplishment in the aim of completing a perfect year. Many other different students will walk the halls of Hanks High School, and each will contribute his share to the puzzle. Hanks has only been around for eight years. Within that time many pieces of the puzzle were placed in what was thought to be permanent. But since all the educational changes of last year, some of the puzzle pieces were lost, others misplaced, and still others discarded. lt has been our task this year to sort out and find those scattered pieces. lt took long hours and many sleepless nights, but finally the pieces began to fit back together. We, the editors and staffers of the Shield feel proud to have been H given this job. There were times when we considered giving up, but someone would find a missing piece and the hunt would begin again. Through our efforts we have attempted to finish the puzzle. But realistically we know that the puzzle may never be completed. Like all Knight endeavors, it takes time for perfection. V The Knight style cannot be rushed. '70 Saad
