A d h I I This years beauty pageant resulted in Cathy Molinar being crowned most beautiful at Hanks. The theme for the pageant was a Royal Knight of Enchantment, and overall the pageant was a great success. Sandra Sims was chosen first runner up, Amy Rinehart, Trish Uribe and Jennifer Johnson were chosen second, third and fourth runners-up respectively. Under the guidance of Rosemary Navarro, the gym floor became a three story castle complete with a moat and illuminated with tiny floor lights. I felt that the evening went really well, said Navarro. We were a bit rushed, but I was pleased everything turned out so well. The Silhouettes and Monica Martinez entertained the enthusiastic audience while the girls changed. I was excited after winning. My sister gave me a lot of confidence before the pageant oney. and it was exciting receiving the crown. Molinar said. Her sister Charlene, was voted most beautiful two years ago and was also Miss Texas Teen during 1983-84. Judges for this years pageant were Karen Wallac, Miss Sun City 1986, Sylvia Arayo, Miss Fiesta de las Flores 1985, Brent Whit, manager of International Fitness Center Spas, and Vincent Munoz, director of the Miss American Indian Pageant.
