I I'lI'lIS yTe it l'S Va ii 2 The many team injuries didn't af- fect their playing abilities as much as the winter weather did. lt fthe weatherj did affect our playing a lit- tle but we made it anyway, added Vicky Burr. Coach Calleros was really happy with the improvement of the team. The whole team improved 100W and it showed in the way they played, she said. Hanks winning the district cham- pionship was a great surprise to ev- eryone, since Eastwood was favored to win after Hanks lost their top four players. Calleros summed up her feelings by saying, I'm very proud of my team because they don't give up. Among other season highlights was taking second place in the Ysleta Tournament. Although we played tremendously well, we didn't do as well as I expected us to do. But l was still happy with our standings, Cal- leros explained. 2 ! fi ii Y t if ii 3 2: k L . sms Y :wks WXVW H smwmss-www N , ,i t .. t . .5 Q. g t g Q. .,,,Nn.,-sf.-:-- 4- - - is L A K s I 1 S 2 s s . if .L -: , 5 .g , 'Ng' if A E' A' E - .,i ' . ., il .
