Herald staff learns skills A student publication is an important asset to any school, and Hanks High School was no exception. The award winning Herald was proud to be in it's sixth year at Hanks. The Herald had received numerous awards for photography and layout designs. The staff was composed mostly of new members who showed a lot of potential for the future. The biggest improvement in the staff this year was the new Compugraphic typesetter. Any type setting the staff needed before the new typesetter had to be sent away and was costly not only monetarily but valuable time was lost also. We were able to use the new typesetter during the second semester, said Noel Knight, Herald advisor. This gave the students a valuable opportunity of learning how to do their own typesetting. The new typesetter enabled the Herald to put out the paper with more ease and less effort than ever before. Herald 105 DIQJSH
