Students enjoy military life The Ysleta Independent School District ROTC is designed as the second Brigaide and consisted of six Battalions. Hanks, being the sixth was commanded by cadet colonel Anna Delmont, and was supervised by Captain James Baker, the Senior Army Instructor QSAIJ, and Msg. Mark Polanco. The 6th Battalion was a cadet oriented program in that the chain of command was used to the fullest. The cadet leaders performed all tasks under the supervision of the SAI. Instruction in ROTC consisted of four levels of leadership: 1st year-Intro to Leadership. 2nd year-Intermediate Leadership 3rd year-Applied Leadership 4th year-Advanced Leadership. The subjects in ROTC covered hygiene, first aid, map and compass reading, techniques of oral communication, marksmanship, managerial and leadership training. In the latter part of the year, the Annual Formal Inspection QAFD was conducted by the third ROTC region, the higher headquarters from Fort Riley, Kansas. R.0.T.C. 101 'O '.L 'O 'H
