The fire escape is from the balcony of the auditorium. Auditorium in 1942. The balcony is where Room 202 is presently locatedf the stage is where the office is now. The School Office in 1938. This area is now the Junior Guidance office and Home Econom ics Dining Room. This was Handley's cafeteria in 1937, located on the site of our present wood shop. lt would hardly accomodate us now. Our Gym in 1927, where our cafeteria is today. There was a small balcony which was entered from the second floor. The dressing rooms were located where the cafeteria kitchen is today. The Handley five of 1925, on the HHS auditor- ium stage. The members were: Jimmie Blue - Violin, Coy Poe - Trumpet, Joy Ellis - Drums, Coston Gregory - Sax, Delbert Pyeatt - Sax, Opal Ragland - Piano. On the first day of school, September, 1951, it was necessary for the school to meet for enrollment in the Handley Baptist Church since the old auditorium was being converted into classrooms, and the new audi- torium was not yet completed. Next fall, Handley will become a Junior High, and the High School will move to its third location in fifty years.
