Mrs. Ida Mae Fischer, who has taught at Hancock for 24 years, was born in Waverly, Missouri and graduated from Trenton High School. Sie obtained her degree, an A. B. in Liberal Arts, from Central College at Fayette, Missouri. This year she is a sponsor of the Junior Class and Student Council. ln passed years, she has sponsored the Debating Team and Glee Club, and was coach of Dramatics. Iler hobbies are cultivating flowers, fishing, and cooking. She likes basketball, track, and baseball. Her advice to students is Don't waste your time, develop yourself socially as well as mentally. She doesn't believe in education just from books alone, and believes astudent should have other interests be- sides scholastics. Among her other sayings are: Get as much out of school as you can, and You can't expect to have friends unless you are a friend. To you, Mrs. Fischer, we dedicate the Activities Section of the 1954 Memento 51
