The Junior sponsors are Mrk Bay, Mrs. Fischer? Mr. Henm, Miss lhnsley, Mr.. Steckhan , and Mrs. Zinmerman. 'Ihese teachers have done much towards planning and organizing means that will enable the class to present the Seniors a wonderful prom. 'lhe Junior candidates for Pbmento King and Qxeen were Forrest Campbell andEvelyn Hizer. Forrest, they are proud to say, was elected King by votes of the studentst 'Iheir -can- didate for Basketball Queen was lbsalie Gretzschelv The b0YB of the class showed a athletic record last season seven of ilshem played on the 'W' Basketball teamu 'lbey were Ruger Hodheck, Forrest Cmdell, Bill Downen, Ray Kempen, Carl Meyer, Ronald Scherry and Lynn Virgen., Ch the varsity baseball tem there are four Junior boys. They were Boger Brodbeck, Ray lieupen, Richard Matt, and Lynn Virgen. flheir Student Gommcil representatives are Joan Aveyard, Donald Corbin, Harry Hausser, Kathleen hhrphy, Vernell Schaefery Michael Wilkenson, and lbrothy Wilson. 38

Nw ., One of the teachers who has given many years of service at our school is Miss Leola Bishop, who has taught mathematics at Hancock High for 25 years. Miss Bishop graduated from Harden Junior College .and then went to the University of Missouri where she received her Bachelor of Arts de- gree. Later she went to New York where she attended Columbia University and earned a Master of Arts degree, majoring in mathematics. Miss Bishop has played an important part in the lives of many of the students at Hancock by giving them a thorough education in the field of mathematics. We hope that she will continue to be with us for many more years. To you, Miss Leola Bishop, we dedicate the Underclassmen Section of the 1954 Memento 37
