Miss Kemp, an English teacher- Q1' 53255.11-S Miss Pennls place 3 Miss Smallwood replacing Iurs. .lhiaceyg and Miss Johnson back in the art dept. after S .years absence. Carol l.ofton's birthday. Pour Carol, what a way to start another year in her life. Ray Powell becomes a year older. Moflfiaifaud the usual Home Room mettings. The Seniors had their first joint meeting Cboys and girlsl. All the classes have pic 'ed their officers for the coming year. A week has past, students and teachers are now retty well acquainted a nd everything is running smoothfy. As we glance arornd we begin to Look for old and new ro- mances. 'tIefi.1d'a lot of twosomes carried over and quite a few added to the ever growing list. First Volley Ball Game of the season for the boys. They played .ffton's A 8a B teams. Although Hancoc lost, they were very good games and the fellows on the teams did Swell. There was a vera good turn out and,you would be suprised how Affton and ancock students mix. Happy Birthday Betty Bricker! lSorry we're a month latel First showing of Rings. Committee picked two to present to class. i Hancock vs. Brentwood in vollxey ball. Brentwood won. .f Delores Ploesser becomes other year older. Another ring salesman came and another so-uabble over rings took place. There was quite an argument over oval and square rings. The ma'forityb'Wanted oval- so the min- ority had to concede.

We had a bond-selling assembly and was honored by the visit of many celebrities from Hollywood iportrayed by the speech classj. We sold more that 'C143'Y 15h3l1- GI1Y.40tl'l91' day in the last two years. OCTOBER Hancock vs.Riverview at Hancock. The B team won but the A team lost. Happy Birthday to Bill Davis. Senior rings and pins ordered. Volley Ball game at Fairview. Girl Reserves held their first regular meeting. ' Hancock volley ball game with Mehlville at home. B.team lost but the A team came through with a victory. Mary Jane Rodermund became a year older. Volley Ball game with Fairview at home. Fairview won. Girl Reservis had a very successful dance after school. There was an Art trip, for the students taking Aft, 130 UB Art Museum. ' F Seniors signed up for tryouts for the annualSeniorplay. Hancock won two volley ball games from Bayless. Bookkeeping class went on a trip to the Bank. Riverview vs. Hancock at Riverview. Bayless won the season's first girls volley ball game by a score of 25 to 20. 21-22 Ration Book it was issued at Junior High to the people of Lemay. The Juniors and Seniors helped issue the books. Happy Birthday Burnette Harster. Joe Fischer and Harry Risch both celebrated a birthday. Volley Ball game for the girls at Bayless. Bayless won.
