SHOTNB OAT S The setting for this year'sprom took place on a showboat. 12.?zeQueen's throne was arranged in front of a gold background on which blue anchors were drapped. Small floral trees were placed to the right and left of the throne with chairs for the attendants and their escorts. The orchestra was placed on the stage with a background of the deck of the showboat. Tables were placed night club style around the dance floor with the refreshment stand at the opposite end of the floor from the throne. The stand was decorated in blue, yellow, and white with a pilot's wheel on the front of it. I After the guests arrived the Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Bob Buyan, announced that the procession would begin. As the orchestra began playing a march the crown bearer, little Miss Barbara Evans, marched to the throne carrying the crown of white gardinias. The Retiring Queen, Miss Dorothy Neville, and. hen' escort, Mr. Henry Michael cane in followed by the Junior 'attendents and their escorts: Miss Marcella Heider ind Mr. Harvey Beckg Miss Doris Hollingsworth and Hr. Bill rarkinsg Miss Charlotte Sandusky and Mr. Joe Fischer. With the audience in suspense the Senior Maids of Honor HSSP-111 to march to their places with their escorts. Miss ,pargaret Hecht and her escort, Mr. Everette Hecht were first to appear. Margaret looked beautiful in her blue taffata dress with a cameo on a black ribbon around her neck. She wore a corsage of yellow tea roses. Miss Dorothy Fauth and her escort, Mr. Wilbur Silvey were next in the procession. Dorothy looked very attractive with fl-91' Yellow marqusette dress. Her corsage was of red roses. As Miss Mary Richardson, escorted by Lir. Robert Hood., took the spotlight the question was settled as to who the Queenwould be. Mary looked lovely in her blue satin and net dress. with corsage of yellow tea roses. Miss Audrey Schober, the new Queen looked adorable as 'she walked to the throne on the arm of her Junior escort, Mr. Norman Skaggs. Audrey wore a beautiful dress of pink jersey and nylon. Her bouquet was of pink roses. Reaching the throne -she knelt before the Retiring Queen, who crowned her Queen of l9l+l+- The Queen and her escort then took their places on the throne.
