SECOND ROW: Bill Myers, Dorothy Berger, Patty Bush, Arlene Marquart, Ruby Swenson, Bernice Toofp, Ellsworth Barsness FRONT ROW: Ione Wells, Arletta Anderson, Helen Peterson, 'Miss Hanson, adviserg Beverly Engebretson, Esther Becker, Phyllis Swanson. The following people were selected as officers of the Junior class: Patty Bush, president, Beverly En- Igelbretson, vice--president, Billy Wells, secretary-treasurer. Miss Han-son was chosen for adviser. The class consists of seventeen people, most of whom participate in the various activities of the school. Patty Bush is a cheerleader, Phyllis Swanson and Arletta Anderson are in the band. Beverly En- gebretson is in the Library club. During the football season, Alan McArthur, Billy Wells, Ellsworth Bars- ness and Dean Zeltwanger were on the football team. Dean Zeltwanlger, Bill Myers, Billy Wells, Billy Sch-midgall and Ellswortlh Barsness are on the basketball squad. On April 21, the class play, Nine Girls a three act mystery play was given The la w d , . pl y as un er the direction of Miss Maihoney. The Juniors gave the annual banquet for the Seniors on May 13. SECOND ROW: Opal Gorder, Bette Marquart, Lois Jordan, Helen Van Otterloo, Mr. Levine, adviser: Alda Reiners, Lorna Giese, Jean Mulvihill. FRONT ROW: Floyd Scfhmidgall, Elaine Maanum, Bea- trice Bush, Joyce Nieland, Helen Jensen, Eileen Lund, Earl Eby. One member of the class, Virginia Steen, is not pictured here. The Sophomore class started the term with the same classmates as last year, except for two new mem- bers, Eileen Lund and Betty Lou Trudell. They started witlh twenty-tive members but lost four during the term. Lenore Ver Steeg, a member of the class, passed away on December 1'9, 1943. Elaine McArthur, Warner Davids and Betty Lou Trudell have transferred 'to other sc'hools. The oflicers were chosen as follows: Floyd Sch-midgall, president: Francis Reese, vice-president, Helen Van Otterloo, secretary: Betty Marquart, treasurer. Mr. Levine is the class adviser. Members of the class in band are, Bette Marquart, H-elen Van Otterloo, Opal Gorder, Earl Elby and Eileen Lund. In Home Economics the girls have wonkied on make-over projects and made dresses of new material. They also worked on planning and preparing dinners. In shop the boys have been wonkirmg with iron. Members of the class on the A basket ball team are Albert Pasch and Floyd Schmidgall. Those tak- inig part as sulbstitutes are Donald Beebe, Earl Eb'y, Tommy Slchluter and Norman Morton.
