P ATBONS ALL IANCE The Patrons Alliance IS a group of en ergetlc parents who co operate and help keep the communlty sp1r1t al1ve One of their major act1v1t1es IS a school p1cn1c each sprlng for all Hancock students from klndergarten to twelfth grade In March they presented four plays and one of their other act1v1t1es1spresent1ngaS300 schol arsh1p to a deserving sen1or The offlcers of this group are Mr Milton Hoeper Presl dent Mr George K1Sk9 Vice President Mr H L Poenach Secretary, Wr Arthur Hartmann, Treasurer BOARD OF EDUCATION 'Ihe Board of Education is duly elected by the patrons of the school district which it represents. The l'oard sets all the pol- icies for the school, provides for funds and approves the budget. Their interest must range overawide area The superintendent meets with th1s group which now cons1sts cf six members elected for a term of three years each In the last few years their efforts have consisted ma1nly 1n obtaining new property improving old buildlngs and erecting new ones They are largely re sponsible for our AAA rating

SUPERINTENDENT i The conscientious conductor and effi- cient director of our school is Mr. James L1DdhUPSt, our superintendent. Before ac- cepting his present position, he was the high school principal. Mr. Lindhurst is very enthusiastic about his hobby, fishing in Missouri's streams. Idleness and tardiness are two words he never uses in his vocabulary when telling students how to be a success in life.
