THE CLASS OF '59 A few short years we've been together, We'll remember the things we learned As one group I guess you'd say, With the teacher's help each day, But now the time is nearing But soon there'll be no teachers For us to be on our way. Just experience they say. The friends we've made since we've been here Now that the time has really come Always we'll remember, For handshakes and goodbyes, And in our hearts the memories We feel lUSf 8 little Sad Will forever linger, As we begin to realize- That we Seniors now are leaving Our high school days behind. So farewell, farewell, dear Central, From the Class of '59. P atricia Bowyer

P1om2aee4 The Class of '59 has produced its share of leaders. Five members excelled scholastically---Jerry Wilson and Linda Tague have only A's and B's on the record of their four high school years, Steve Ricks has two C's, Malinda Sims, 3 C's and Marcele Potts, 5 C's. Jim Phillips, Steve Hine, and Marcele Potts were chosen, because of leadership ability, to represent Hancock Central at Girls' and Bovs' State. Dave Apple and Allen Ward were absent from school fewer days over a twelve year period than any other members of the class. Dave missed five days, and Allen two days. Malinda Sims was voted Junior-Senior Prom Queen in her junior year. This was the first Prom for Hancock Central. The juniors and their guests went by bus to the Pittinger Student Cen- ter on the Ball State Campus for a banquet and an evening of dancing. Miss Chambers and Mr. Scotten were the class sponsors Dave Apple, who was chosen by the faculty as Junior Rotarian was a guest of the Greenfield Rotary Club each Thursday at noon through the month of January. The class elected Linda Tague as a candidate for the D.A,R, Citizenship Award. All interested senior girls were given a fifty minute test on hom emaking knowledge and attitudes. Rhea Martin scored high- est in her own group and is a candidate for State Homemaker of Tomorrow. Twelve students from the Class of '59 are members of the Honor Society. Others have assumed responsibility in various organizations, and all of them have been good followers and loyal classmates. I ,4 gaqid qal4'State I'
