IN CHEMISTRY we learn to live and act more intelligently and with greater understanding and satisfaction in an ever increasing complex civilization -- in a country that is now on the threshold of the atomic age. IN AGRICULTURE the rural school of- fers opportlmities plus practical experi- ence in farming. Those who take agri- culttte are given the chance to be mem- bers of the Future Farmers of America. This organization gives further training in special fields of farming. MORGAN'S MUSIC SHOP ANDERSON, INDIANA PETE'S RADIO SHOP GREENFIELD, INDIANA IN LATIN we study the Roman people whose influence on the world was great. The study of Latin makes the study of English grammar easier: it enlarges our vocabulary as a great percent of our words are of Latin origin.

5--1 IN DRIVER'S TRAINING our purpose is to make better and safer drivers for the future. Although there is a wide variation in studies which have been made, the picture seems to show that students with driver training have a lower accident record than students with no instruction. Since driver training is relatively new in the curriculum, more and better teaching methods can be expected with consequent improvements in results. IN ENGLISH we leam the fundamentals first. We learn the parts of the sentence then practice them on paper, Later we will give oral expression its part. Here Richard Doughty is telling this class of eighth graders how to form possessives of singular and plural nouns. VOCATIONAL INFORMATION CLASS af- fords an opportunity for students to investigate job opportunities. As early as the freshman year in school boys and girls find it helpful and practical to consider thoroughly many different trades, professions and occupations. In this way future workers are enabled many times to make a wiser choice and to better prepare themselves for earning a living. fl 52 MARSHALL'S JEWELRY, ANDERSON, INDIANA SCHUSTERS SHOE STORE, ANDERSON, INDIANA

IN GIRLS' PHYSICAL EDUCA- TION, our aim is to learn the fundamentals of team work, and develop a sense of sportsmanship and fair play as well as individual skill and ability. Above all we have fun.
