HisTor m VA ) I? Now is the time for us, the class of 1951, to look back—back to the best years of our lives—our high school years. Soon we will be leaving a phase of our life to which we can never return, except in memory. Let us now, while we are still here, look back and remember. We will never forget the year we entered high school as Freshmen. At our first meeting as a class, we elected Roger Long as our President and Mr. Ham- ilton as our advisor. Although our finances were very low, we did manage to have a Christmas party that year. In our Sophomore year Beatrice Relchman acted as President and Miss Da Brescia as Class advisor. It was during this year that our bank deposits be- gan to mount because of the money we made at a min- strel show and by selling cocoa and programs at foot- ball games. Again, in our Sophomore year, we en- joyed a Christmas party. How proud we were on the September day we re- turned to high school as Juniorsi Why that was the next step to being a Seniori We re-elected Beatrice Relchman as President that year and chose Mrs. Cham- berlain for advisor. The most thrilling thing that happened to us in our Junior year was the selecting and obtaining of our Senior rings. We sold gum dur- ing our Junior year and sponsored the annual Juuior Prom. In June, with regret at losing the Seniors, and yet with great expectations for the time when we would take their place, we decorated the auditorium, acted as honor guards and received the class key. And then we took the position we hold today, the cherished and honored place of Seniors. The slate of officers we had in our Junior year were re-elected. Beatrice Relchman, President; Sally Hunter, Vice President; Roberta Houshultz, Secretary; and Paul Iversen, Treasurer. Mrs. Mack Aas elected class ad- visor. On November 17, 1950, we presented the never to be forgotten Senior Play, 11 You Can't Take it With You. We also sold candy this year and published this year book. It is almost time to close the door to high school life and open a new one. But, before we go, we would like to thank all those who made the last four years the best years of our lives. vm-v 'wf 1 V J0l
