af 1949 Class History We, the class of 1949, are about ready tc bid the halls of Hancock Central a fond adieu. During the short years at H. C. S., we have experienced times of pleasure and times of sorrow, good moments and bad moments, but, in the end, all has worked out for the best. Now, we are leaving, but let us pause a moment to review the events of the past years. It seems but a short time ago that we, as Fresh- men, entered the portals of rooms 307 and 315. We had dances after the football games, showed movies, held a square dance, and had tag days ti Our most important activity, however, was selec ng our class rings. Over this, there was much disoussi and very informal debate, but the rings were finally ordered and in lhreh we were the proudest class ever saw. In June, we decorated the auditorium for the Seniors and participated in the graduation ceremo- nies. 'Jackie' Johnson presented our Nadvice to the d at seniors' and accepted the key. The honor guar s commencement were Norma Kille, Beverly White, Dorothy Ferris Janet Brannon, Richard Martin, Harold Reichman, Gilbert Banker, and Ivan Kinne. This all was done in preparation for OUT Continued on page 53
