'7fi :W,.' , r .ff .- L-,, ' 1 . g ,m, ai.i ..., 1,1 Executive Officer Captain Roger Carlquist, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, is a 1947 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Prior to' flight training and designation as Naval Aviator in 1950, he served in the USS T. E. CHANDLER CDD-7171 and USS IOHN W. THOMASON CDD- 760J in the Western Pacific. Following service in Korea with Fighter Squadron ONE HUNDRED FOURTEEN, he reported to the 355Oth Combat Crew Training Wing at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. In 1955 he underwent instruction as an exchange pilot at the Empire Test Pilot School, Farns- borough, England. Captain Carlquist served as Project Test Pilot with both Air Development Squadron THREE at NAS Atlantic City, N.I., and at the Naval Air Test Center, Patuxent River, Mary- land. From 1961 to 1963 he served with Carrier Air Wings SEVEN and EIGHT in the Med- iterranean. In 1965-66 he commanded Fighter SQUADRON THIRTY-THREE, and from 1966- 67 served as Air Warfare Officer on the staff of Carrier Division TWO embarked in USS FORRESTAL CCVA-591. A member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots, Captain Carlquist has attended the U.S. Naval War College and is holder of a Master's Degree in International Affairs from George Washington University. Captain and Mrs. Carlquist, the former Arnante Semmes, have four daughters and one son.

Commander CVW-21 Captain Harold L. Terry, born in Lawrence, Indiana, enlisted in the Navy in 1945 and was designated Naval Aviator in 1949. A I He served with Fighter Squadron ONE HUNDRED NINETY-ONE aboard the USS BOXER and USS PRINCETON, deploying to Korea in 1950 aboard the latter. He next served as a project pilot in Air Development Squadron FIVE and then as a flight instructor in the Ad- vanced Training Command. In 1958, following two years as Assistant Navigator in the USS BENNINGTON, he reported to Fighter Squadron ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN. Captain Terry served with Fighter Squadron SIXTY-TWO, first as Operations Officer, then Executive Officer and finally as Commanding Officer, while embarked aboard USS SHANGRI-LA and USS INDEPENDENCE. Captain Terry holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School and a Master's Degree in International Affairs from George Washington University. In 1960 he completed the Command and Staff Course at the Naval War College. I Captain and Mrs. Terry, the former Karen Louise Habich, have five children. - f- -
