This department holds sick call three times daily and supervises the inspections ot the berthing and messing compartments. Elkins, DT2 equipped dental operating units, comparable with those used by large clinics ashore, are set up to handle oral surgical and oral medicine treatment, prosthetic work, and endodontia and operative dentistry.
