The Honeybces. our girls' basketball Mr. Molyneaux Mrs. Francis Karcis Mr. Hugh Mcxnion teams under her supervision won many victories for our school. The MR. WILLIAM H. MYERS A quick flick of the dial to our musical channel will reveal our popular band director hard at work, He is always searching for a way to im- prove the musical organizations and has done a fine job with the band and :naiorettes this year. An excellent trumpet player. he is equally at home wgth a fishina rod in his hand. MR. GALEN OBER Anyone whos had Mr, Ooer for a teacher could not possibly have escaped learning a great deal. He is never too busy to give special attention to anyone having trouble with his chemistry and physics. Mr. Ober is an excellent shot, whether aiming with a camera or gun. G1rls' Leaders Club, the Tumlling Club and the Cheerleading Club were spon- sored by Mrs, Karcis. MR. HUGH MANION Pleasant and friendly, Mr. Manion is a very respected and well-liked director here at the station. Vfhile an excel- lent math teacher, his endeavors do not stop there. For it was he who coached basketball teams and formed the newly organized Gcli Club. MISS ANN O'BRIEN Miss OBrien came to our school two years ago. She teaches English and mathematics, and has a seventh grade home room. Miss OIBTISH has an active interest in drama and enjoys writing skits and narratives in her leisure time. MR. WOODROW PHELPS lflr. Phelps is l-larnpton's French teacher. l-le was stationed in Europe during the war years, en- abling him to become completely familiar with the language. Mrs leon Tryon Mr. Robert Varnum MISS CECELE WEISBERG t o We Miss Weisberg presented many musical programs a' our TV station. She conducts our Senior and lunior Chorus and helps the understudies, for she teaches music to sev, erth, eighth, and ninth grades. Miss Weisberg spends Monday evenings practicing cs a member of the Men- delssohn Choir. MRS. IEAN TRYON Mrs. Tryon teaches English and Bookkeeping at l-lTHSp in addition, she sponscrs the mcnthly rewspaper, the Harnptonian. An ardent camper is Mrs. Tryon, a favorite vacation spot being the Grand Teton National Park, Wyo. Mrs. Tryon is active in the American Camping Association. MR. ROBERT VARNUM This year's understudies are urder the direction of Mr. Varnurn. Always willing to encourage students, he is the founder of the Future Teachers of America at our sta- tion. A popular music enthusiast, Mr. Varnum has quite a collection of hits cf today. His favcrites are the Crazy Ottc records. MRS. MARTHA WRIGHT A visit to Studio 8 on any busy day might reveal a Senior or a Senior English Class pondering over Hamlet or Macbeth. In addition to these classes, Mrs. Wright was director of the senior extravaganza. Besides being busy as one of the l2th grade sporsors, Mrs. Wright reads and reviews current novels. MR. IOHN P. YOUNG lt is with regret that the station will bid farewell to Mr. Young when he leaves for the army this summer. He has kept an excellent shop curriculum going for the boys these past two years and has added many a laugh to the station w.th his quick wit. Miss Cecele Weisberq Mrs. Martha Wright Mr. Iohn P.
