MYSTERY PLAY INTRIGUES AUDIENCE Audiences attending Hampton High Drama Club productions this year were treated to fine performances and enjoyable shows. The Drama Club, consisting of Thespians and Garricks, first presented the exciting mystery play, “Web of Murder,” starring Janet Woodard and Sarah Jones. The traditional “Christmas Gift” show brightened the faces of “little people” from many Hampton day-care centers as it spotlighted the presence of Santa Claus (alias Mike Bullion). The final production, “Life With Father,” proved to be a big hit, bring¬ ing in large audiences who praised the show highly. Based on a book written by Clarence Day, the story revolved around the determination of an eighteenth century wife to get her husband baptized. Mr. Heatwole and Co. can be cre¬ dited with bringing in larger audi¬ ences and promoting a keener interest in drama at H.H.S., something which, in the past, was lacking. ORGANIZATIONS — 9
