SCA elections, very controversial This year, with the introduction of a question-answer period, the SCA elections became exciting and controversial. Religion and school spirit were discussed. Sid Alvis, who was elected President, took a no- nonsense stand by promising the students nothing, but assuring them that he would work for everything. Sophomore Brian Witherspoon was elected Vice-President in a close race and will serve next year along with Anne Chisman, Secretary; Gene Wilson, Treasurer; and David Ozment, Chaplain. 1. Sharon Melton campaigns vigorously for the otfice ot Secretary. 2. David Wally Bishop votes after registering with Ronald Williams and Valerie Pearce. 3. Sid Alvis demonstrates his relaxed campaign style. 4. Gene Wilson ' s speech brings on his election.

Basketball Homecoming had a personality all its own. The major rehearsal took place during halftime of the Pembroke-Hampton game. The height of the confusion was when the attendants sheepishly wandered the court with their escorts searching for their place. To top it off, the game was lost 74-46. Sophomore attendants were Karen Kimberhn and Linda Banks, Junior attendants — Kim Davis and Cressondra Brown. Jane Conner, Delores Wallace, Debbie Deveikis, and Queen Jamee West were the senior representatives on the Court. The Basketball Homecoming Court with their escorts: 1. Delores Wallace Harris Bright. 2. Jane Conner Donnie Dearing. 3. Cressondra Brown Thomas Mills. 4. Kim Davis David Bishop. 5. Linda Banks Timmy Stewart. 6. Karen Kimberlin Richard Cholewinski. 7. ICC in trouble! 1. Roger Goldman conducts an ICC meeting. A rough year was faced by the ICC. The club, led by Roger Goldman, voted to abolish itself; yet it will remain a part of HHS next year. Despite the troubled year the club led a drive which produced cold water fountains in the halls. Inter-Club Council: (front, l.-r.)
