Free Fair vocalist adds soul. 1 . | I wish I could he a brother like that ' The student body was entertained by two bands this year. The Pilgrim Twenty and Free Fair, in double assemblies. The ACappella added to the Christmas festivities by singing selections from their concert at our Christmas assembly. This spring, five convicts Irom Southampton Correctional Farm related their experiences to the Student body. sixteen

The SCA weathered many changes. Due to a change in the time schedule, which began March 6, there were two SCA councils. The old council was composed of one student selected from each homeroom. The new council was composed of one student selected from every English class. Horror movies were shown in the auditori- um twice — at Halloween and the weekend after exams. The jukebox, which was installed in the cafeteria, has made lunch more enjoy- able. Orientation and Back-to-School Night were two of the many activities sponsored by the SCA. 1. Thanks to the SCA, there is music to eat by. 2. Patsy Cook enjoys a SCA-sponsored dance. 1 . 2 . fifteen

1 . Cowboy Day — What an assembly! In fact, it was the best we ' ve ever had. Never was such spirit displayed as it was that day. In the process, the Seniors won the Spirit Stick, and the cheerleaders and football players danced across the floor. Kecoughtan sent us a delightful gift — a playmate for Freddy — a real live red and white chicken. 1. Best dressed cowboys and cowgirls: Seniors — Debbie Carpenter and David Sampson; Juniors — Pam Jones and Steve Pulsifer; Sophomores — Marilyn Joyner and Jimmy Stillwell. 2. John Reed Moore holds the Spirit Stick won by the mighty Se- niors. 3. “So that ' s who’s under the crab! 4. Cowboys, cowgirls. Crabbers, and Indians all enjoy the Pep Rally. seventeen .4 Cotv boy Day spirit rides on to Victory
