BCL Q , PAGE 48 CLASS HISTORY When we first entered high school, way back in 1945, we suffered the pangs of being freshmen. At our first class meeting, Miss Ma-rks introduced herself as our class dean and the officers were elected as follows: President, Fred Plushanskig Vice-President, Joyce Beattyg Secretary, Albert Fleming: Treasurer, Betty Frittsg we went through the usual anxieties of initiation but we all sur- vived 'the ordeal. As green freshmen we sponsored the St. Patrick's Day Dance. Before we knew it one year was gone-exams over-and everyone happv. As we started our second year at H.H.S. we felt more confident. It was now our turn to get revenge on the poor innocent freshmen by initiating them. The dance was a big success so we tried our hand by giving a Valentines Day Dance. Miss Sliker became our new dean and the class officers were: Pe-rsident, Lois Bowlbyg Vice-President, Doris Bibinger: Secretary, Richard Craterg Treas- urer, Russeil Lewis. We scored m.any accomplishments-now it was time for the big event-exams. We all came through with flying colors an-d we got our much-earned vacation which we all enjoyed. We returned as sophisticated upper classmen with Tom White leading o-ur cla-ss as President: Jennie Lechenski, Vice-President: Doris Bibinger, Treasurer: Lois Bowlby, Secretary. Miss Sliker, much to our pleasure, was still our dean. This year we made successes on our Junior Ca-rd Party and Sadie Hawkin's Dance. Then in May we had t:he most stupendous prom in the History of H.H.S. Again it was time for our vacation. Now we were the superior Seniors-one year left and we would be out on our own. Due to the fact that our Sadie Hawkin's Day went over so big last year we decided to give another one. All the boys dressed in dungarees and the girls in slacks-we all had loads o-f fun. Miss Sliker was still our dean and class officers for our last year were: President, Dick Crater: Vice-President, Lois Bowlbyg Secretary, Betty Frittsg Treasurer, Doris Bibinger. This year we gave a Christmas formal with Ken Brader's Orchestra providing the music. When we returned from our Christmas vacation we commenced making plans for our Senior Card Party. Prizes were donated by class members and various stores. In June we ended our four years at H.H.S. by giving a success-ful clas-s day celebration. We would now like to take this opportunity to 'thank Miss Sliker for the help and guidance she has given us during our years at H.H.S.
